octaethyl-21H,23H-porphine ruthenium(II) carbonyl - Introduction
2,3,7,8,12,13,17,18-octaethyl-21H,23H-porphine ru(Ru-OEP) is a bifunctional organic compound containing ruthenium metal, which has many special properties and uses.
Nature:
1. Ru-OEP is a dark green crystalline powder with high thermal stability and dissolution stability.
2. It has weak fluorescence and strong absorption characteristics, and can absorb and emit light in the visible and near-infrared spectral range.
3. Ru-OEP has good redox properties, and its redox ability can be adjusted by changing the ligand environment and oxygen atmosphere.
Use:
1. Photochemistry: Ru-OEP can be used as photosensitive materials for photoelectric conversion, photocatalysis and optical devices.
2. Spectroscopy studies: Ru-OEP can be used as fluorescent probes and markers for spectroscopy studies.
3. Electronics: As an electron transport material, Ru-OEP can be used in the preparation of organic field effect transistors and organic light-emitting diodes (OLED).
4. Catalyst: Because of its easy synthesis and high catalytic activity, Ru-OEP can be used as a catalyst for organic synthesis reactions, such as hydrogenation reactions, organic oxidation reactions, etc.
Preparation Method:
Generally, the method for preparing Ru-OEP is obtained by reacting porphin with ruthenium trichloride (RuCl3) under alkaline conditions. The preparation method is simple and the yield is relatively high.
Safety Information:
1. Ru-OEP is relatively stable under general conditions, but contact with oxygen, strong acids and strong bases should be avoided.
2. in the operation, should take the necessary protective measures, avoid inhalation, contact with skin and eyes.
3. in storage and handling, should be away from the fire and flammable materials.
4. Waste shall be disposed according to local regulations to avoid environmental pollution.
Note: When using or handling Ru-OEP, please follow the correct laboratory operating practices and follow the relevant safety precautions.
